Objectives
Subject of this workshop shall be current R&D activities and future challenges for the integration of efficiency, safety, and comfort functionalities into the system of the electric vehicle. A focus shall be put on smart concepts for the combination of energy storage systems, electric drives and brakes and power electronic controls in the vehicle which will enable radical cuts in weight, energy consumption and cost.

Organizers
The workshop is jointly organized by the European Commission and the European Techology Plattforms ERTRAC and EPoSS. Its organization is facilitated through the ICT4FEV project.
Registration
Participation is free of charge and on invitation only, travel costs will not be reimbursed. All participants are required to register in advance. Additional experts may apply for acceptance by completing the registration form; however all registrations need to be confirmed by the organizers.

Satellite of the AMAA Conference
The workshop is a satellite event at the venue of the 15. International Forum on Advanced Microsystems for Automotive Applications (AMAA 2011) "Smart Systems for Electric, Safe and Networked Mobility", which will take place in Berlin on 29 and 30 June 2011. Interested workshop participants can register for at the AMAA at the Reduced Rate. There is also an opportunity to attend the AMAA social event offered to workshop participants arriving on 29 June (fee applies).
